Bitcoin Pepe Update: First Serving of Secret Sauce 10/03

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. Everyone wants a peep behind the curtain, and this is the first dev update. Bitcoin Pepe is a revolution, and we plan to take BTC’s unbreakable base layer and leverage it to deliver a finetuned meme coin engine of chaos. No compromises. No mercy.

Current outlook

Architecture is more or less done. This first involved mapping out the feasibility and, second, the technical construction of a Bitcoin L2. Everyone knows Bitcoin has the best-in-class security, but the throughput is appalling, forgive the brutish language. It is like being stuck in endless traffic with one car going through the toll booth at a time. Luckily, we have created a way to add a fast lane (Bitcoin Pepe) to this mess.

The technical deep dive involved assessing Bitcoin’s consensus mechanism, data availability, and how interoperable the network is. Consensus was a bit of a headache because of Proof-of-Work. Essentially miners solving puzzles and racing for first place. We will use a set of trusted validators that will have interim authority while Bitcoin still has the final call. In terms of data availability, first, we had to ensure that we could keep an accurate record of all transactions on Bitcoin that anyone can check, and the ability to recreate the state at any point is what allows for verification in a decentralized network.

In nontechnical terms, we will be batching transactions together, executing them off-chain with our own validator set, and then sending summary data to BTC. This batching allows Bitcoin Pepe to be more turbo-charged. And with interoperability, we had to figure out a way to make Bitcoin Pepe speak the Bitcoin language, which has been a resounding success.

In super simple terms, consensus is about speed, DA is for security, and interop is for familiarity. Together, we have the holy trinity, which creates a chain as secure as Bitcoin but orders of magnitude faster. Game Time.

What comes next

Now the core focus is to hire additional devs and ensure we have a stacked and cracked team. This includes blockchain devs, cryptographers, and DevOps experts. We need to map out the actionable steps for development, build a cohesive technical roadmap, and start shipping.

Central focus will be rollups, smart contracts, and fraud-proof mechanisms. Everything that lets us get maximum juice out of BTC while allowing us to build a reliable and secure super highway alongside it. Building out DeFi on Bitcoin will include designing a toolkit for EVM wallet + potentially a compatibility layer so EVM devs can launch directly on Bitcoin Pepe.

The future of France lads

Currently outlining specific goals + deadlines for team, creating technical milestones, and aligning team efforts while building out the team in tandem. It has been one hell of a ride so far, and we are only just getting started.

Don’t want to get over my skis, but this is going to be an absolute beauty of a project. For too long BTC maxis have been sat in the corner without anything to play with, and now it is time for us to build them an entirely new jungle gym.

Hope you enjoyed the first dev update. More to come very soon.
